Our Story
We are a wife-and-husband duo committed to preserving and celebrating traditional craftsmanship in an increasingly mass-produced world.
Laculta was born from a little spark, as many dreams do. Our strong belief and pride in Latin American talent is that spark. It ignited in us a passion for discovery and for sharing our discoveries with the rest of the world.
In the small towns of a country like El Salvador, where we come from, artisans and their handicrafts represent a legacy of culture and tradition. The colorful magic of these works painted the backdrop of our childhoods.
Handwoven textiles, hand-painted ceramics, locally-crafted furniture, and beautifully handmade decorations filled public spaces and our homes.

It wasn’t until we migrated to the United States as adults that we truly recognized what we had left behind. In a land where relentless overconsumption is king, highly efficient mass-produced goods are the rule.
Pretty soon, we found ourselves deep in nostalgia, sorely missing the exception to that rule - the soulful connections and pure authenticity of human-made goods. This revelation provided the fuel - a desire to rediscover that magic and make it possible for others to experience it.
Now, Laculta stands as our bridge between worlds - bringing the warmth, character, and unmatched craftsmanship of Latin American artisanry to the rest of the world.
We are driven by a shared mission to create something bigger than ourselves:

To keep alive the beauty of human-made creations that are full of life, joy, talent, dignity and respect.
To become the bridge between gifted artisans and those who appreciate the value of handcrafted beauty.
To make a lasting impact on how Latin American artisanry is perceived and enjoyed by the rest of the world.
To create wonderful pieces that our customers love, while rewarding the great talents behind their creation and caring for our planet with sensible choices.

We are making this happen thanks to your invaluable trust and support. It’s because of you that our vision continues to grow.
Join us in celebrating and preserving the beauty of Latin America’s traditional craftsmanship, one beautifully handmade piece at a time—with care, intention, and heart in every detail.
